Tarragon has been a pioneer in presenting French Canadian theatre to English audiences. It has premiered most of the plays of Michel Tremblay, establishing him in English Canada, and has produced works by Roland Lepage, René-Daniel Dubois and Roch Carrier, along with newer writers such as Carole Fréchette, Wajdi Mouawad and Serge Boucher.
