Dunn Avenue Methodist Church, southeast corner of Dunn Avenue and King Street, an imposing yet handsome structure, was designed and built by Langley & Burke in 1889-90. Although there was a sizable Methodist church on nearby Cowan Avenue, a rapidly growing congregation and a developing Parkdale neighbourhood prompted the building of another Methodist church. The new church enjoyed many years of serving its congregation until membership started to dwindle and the church fell into disrepair. Dunn Avenue Methodist Church was demolished in the 1970s.
