Stage design for Coppelia

Maurice Strike was born in England and immigrated to Canada in 1967. At the age of 22, he started a close and long term relationship with the Shaw Festival. After a prolific and award-winning career, he returned to England in 1980 and began a new vocation as an Anglican minister.

Coppelia was a mainstay of the National Ballet of Canada for many years and featured the choreography of Erik Bruhn, principal dancer and later Artistic Director of the National Ballet of Canada.
