Eaton Centre Excavation; Holy Trinity Church.

Eaton Centre Excavation

The construction of the Eaton Centre on the west side of Yonge Street between Queen and Dundas, involved the demolition of nearby buildings and the closure of a number of streets. This painting depicts three historic buildings that were incorporated into the final project. In the centre is the former home of Henry Scadding, Toronto's prominent nineteenth century historian and rector of the church. Behind it stands Holy Trinity Church with the parsonage on the right.
