Reports relating to the entertainment of Her Majesty the Queen

embossed portrait of Queen on inside front cover

This court festival book commemorates Queen Victoria's coronation and includes fold-out illustrations of the processions. In addition to the elaborate visual images, the book documents the attendees, performers, carriages, banquet menu and wine bills. An embossed portrait of the Queen is mounted on the inside front cover. The title-page displays within coloured floral borders and features the arms of the City of London painted in colour. Each page of text is ruled in red.

The Theatre collection contains seventy-six court festival books dating from 1549 that detail public festivals and regal processions in England and Europe.
