Tony Sarg (1882-1942) was born in Guatemala, and later moved to the United States. He was a talented puppeteer, organizing workshops and creating films, but is best known for his illustration of children's books, including many movable designs.
“Watty Piper” is a pseudonym for the publishing house editorial staff.
